What are Blockchain Explorers?

One of the key features of blockchains is that it is distributed & offer data transparency. Blockchain explorers act as the ultimate transparency tool that lets users track a wide range of data stored in a block. Users can retrieve data on transactions, wallet addresses, hashes, block numbers, fees, etc.

Who uses Blockchain Explorers?

Blockchain explorers are used by validators, traders, protocol analysts, content creators, and crypto-curious users for multiple reasons.

Examples of Blockchain Explorers:

Different chains have different block explorers. For example, Etherscan covers the Ethereum blockchain, and Blockstream Explorer covers the Bitcoin blockchain. A few websites also act as blockchain explorer aggregators & cover data on multiple blockchains. Example: Blockchain.com

How to use Blockchain Explorers?

Each explorer website has a search bar on top.

The explorer will retrieve the available data once either the wallet address, transaction id, or block no., etc., is entered on the search bar.
